Reclaiming the Throne
February 9, 2023

Have you ever wondered why Black people, no matter where they are in the world, experience similar hardships and tragedies? It's like no matter the social climate, Black people are at the lowest part of the social class. But why is this? D28 Production's Producer, Morris "MUSHAH" Williams, and Director, Joshua "YAHUSHA" Cullins, take a deep dive into history to discover why. As they make their way back into history they bring the stories to life with dramatizations, transcendent music, and direct quotes from peer-reviewed articles and historians dating back to the early 16th century and beyond.
From my perspective as a collegiate researcher in communications and history, the findings they present are ground-breaking and uproot systematic paradigms that shape the world in which we live. It turns out cookie-cutter and hyper-selective history on its head. One of my favorite sections of "Hidden in Plain Sight" (Ep.1) is the understanding, Yahusha gives the audience about American history not beginning with the Europeans landing on Plymouth Rock or with slaves being brought to America in 1619.
Reclaiming the Throne is a six-hour docu-series broken into three distinct episodes taking us on a journey to understand the curse of Black people.
Hidden in Plain Sight, Episode 1
Our journey for answers begins, and many are in our own backyard.
This episode is about an hour and a half long. It is really easy to get through as it discusses things that we may already know about the Black Experience and eases us to new transformative information and research about DNA and history.
Beyond the Rivers of Ethiopia, Episode 2
The second movie in the Reclaiming the Throne trilogy, documenting the rich Hebraic roots of West and Central Africa.
This episode is about two and a half hours long. It takes us on a journey to discover the true origins of the slaves brought to America in 1619.
Tabernacles of David, Episode 3
The second movie in the Reclaiming the Throne trilogy, documenting the rich Hebraic roots of West and Central Africa.
This episode is about two and a half hours long and it speaks about the harsh realities behind slavery and the people and religion behind it. Hold on to your seat as this one will take you for a ride.
As we all know the saying, "History is written by the victors", this docu-series is perfect for the 28 Days of Black History month as it is a way that we, as Black people but also the world, could begin to reclaim our history.
